Google Tip-How to find Narrowed-Down Information

Published by at 10:24 pm under Virtual Assistance

Say you want to do a search on the Colts (the football team) for a sports article you are writing, but want to cut your research time down. Perform this function in the search bar: colts -horses -cars. By first typing in the word you would like to research followed by a space and then a hypen and all other words with same name, you will omit all unnecessary and unrelated pages. If you have more than one word you would like to have omitted from the search, just add an additional space then another hypen and the word. Make sure to only put a space before the hypen, not after it.

Try it and let me know your results!
