Love the One Your With

I don’t know about you, but there is just something about “chick lit” that grabs my attention. My favorite author by far is Emily Giffin.  I have read and own every one of her books and am eagerly awaiting her next one due out this May.  Her writing style is so believable that the characters she creates seem to come to life.

Her lastest book, “Love the One Your With”, hands down is the best so far.  Not only are her characters relateable, but I see traits in my friends that mirror those of the characters.  However, I related to the main character, Ellen, the best.  Parts of her life and what she went through (like having feelings of never quite fitting in), her feelings about a past love that she never quite could forget and then almost losing the best relationship she ever had all real to me.

A book that you can’t seem to put down, can get your imagination going to where you can really see what the characters are like, and get a message from is quite compelling.  And this book truly does that with contemporary style.  It’s believable, relateable and relevant.

I also have just finished reading the book. The ending was great, I never thought I would actually want her to pick Andy, but by the end I really think she made the best decision. I have read Something Borrowed and Something Blue which is excellent, two of my favorites. Have you read Baby Proof yet?

As a matter of fact, Andrea, I have. I have read and have all of her books with the exception of her newest one that came out this pas May. I am looking to pick this one up shortly and mostly for my ebook. If you happen to read it before I do, please let me know how it is. Thanks for the comment!
